 Carla
and Maurizio have been running this refuge
since 2004. The refuge is composed of two
buildings, the one located slightly higher
is larger and has been recently refurbished,
this remains open during the summer months.
The smaller and more traditional 'casara' is
open during the rest of the year. This is
one of the main starting/arrival points for
the Alta Via del Granito.
The restaurant is open all year round, and
is the starting point for many other
excursions and outdoor activities in the
area.
Il “Barco”
The upper building, has room for 60 diners
and is open from 20th June to 20th September.
La “Casara”
The smaller more traditional building, has
places for 20 diners, with 30 outside places
(depending on season).
 Cuisine
Typical mountain dishes. The menu can be
personalised upon request. There is a wide
range of homemade cakes and desserts.
How to get here
Follow the Valsugana SS47 until you see
signs leading to Strigno and Tesino. Turn
off at the Strigno junction and continue
until Pieve Tesino, at the north end of
Pieve follow signs for Val Malene (taking
left fork).
